Strategy Making

In my approach to strategy making, I use Liberating Structures, to include and engage every voice, such that not only do participants create a different kind of strategy, but also transform the whole process of strategy making.

Emergent Strategy principles serve as the foundation of my work, ensuring that strategy making moves at the speed of trust, with processes ensuring the right participants are in the room to do the work that is most needed at the time.

For strategy making, I partner with one of the incredible collaborators below to co-design and co-lead clients through this process. An engagement can be between a few weeks to over several months.

With our clients engaged in strategy work, we use our facilitation expertise to ideate around the following six questions, drawing upon this approach:

1) Purpose Renewal: What is the fundamental justification and deepest need of our work now?

2) Context: What is happening around us in a constantly changing operating environment that demands change from how we have been operating?

3) Challenge: What changes do we face, even if complex, painful or seemingly paradoxical?

4) Baseline: Where are we starting, honestly? How does our current portfolio of work, resources and talent align with our purpose? What needs further development and what do we need to stop doing?

5) Ambition: Given our purpose, what seems possible now? Which strategies are robust and which can we adapt?

6) Action and Evaluation: What can we identify as next steps towards our future?
